This blog is for people who have survived child abuse, written by a child abuse survivor. It is a platform for me, but also for the millions around the world who are craving a voice. Dandelions, like abused children, face a lot of obstacles when growing. But, if they survive to maturity, they get to bloom. We deserve to bloom.
My name is Jenny. My mother physically and emotionally abused me throughout my entire childhood. I am no longer in contact with either of my parents. Because I chose to sever ties with my parents, but due to many other choices I’ve made and experiences I’ve had, I get to bloom.
I pushed through the crack in the asphalt, and know I can share my sunny face with others. I hope readers are encouraged and inspired, through my words and through those of others, and find that they can have their chance to bloom as well.
